 Cách dùng: used to được dùng khi nói về những việc đã xảy ra trong quá khứ và hiện tại không còn nữa.

• Ví dụ: He used to play football. (Anh ta từng chơi đá bóng)

- Cấu trúc:

Khẳng định: S + used to + V-infinitive

• Ví dụ: We used to go to the beach every summer.
  (Chúng ta đã từng đi biển vào mỗi mùa hè đó)

Phủ định: S + didn’t use to + V-infinitive

• Ví dụ: I didn’t use to get up early, but now I do the morning exercise at 5.

Nghi vấn: (WH- question) Did + S + use to + V-infinitive?

• Ví dụ: Did you use to work for him?
  (Bạn đã từng làm việc với ông ta chưa?)

Lưu ý: dùng “use to” để đặt câu hỏi, chứ không phải “used to”.
