1. Be used to

- Cách dùng: be + used to V-ing/Noun được dùng khi nói về việc ai đó đã quen với điều gì đó, đã làm việc gì đó rất nhiều lần hoặc đã có kinh nghiệm với việc đó rồi, việc đó đã quen thuộc, không còn lạ lẫm, mới lạ hay khó nữa.

• Ví dụ: I'm used to getting up early.
  (Tôi dậy sớm quen rồi)

- Cấu trúc:

Khẳng định: S + be + used to + V-ing + ….

Phủ định: S + be (not) + used to + V-ing + …

• Ví dụ: She isn't used to using computer.(Cô ấy không quen sử dụng máy tính)

Nghi vấn: Be + S + used to + V-ing +…

• Are they used to walking to school?
  (Các em ấy đã quen với việc đi bộ tới trường rồi sao?)

2. Get used to

- Cách dùng: get used to + N/V-ing được dùng để diễn tả một đối tượng đang dần, đang bắt đầu trở nên quen với một việc nào đó, việc đó đang dần trở nên quen thuộc.

• Ví dụ: Lan gets used to living in the city.
  (Lan đang dần quen với cuộc sống thành thị)

- Cấu trúc:

Khẳng định: S + get + used to + V-ing/ Noun

Phủ định: S + Auxiliary Verbs + not + get +used to + V-ing/Noun

Lưu ý: get phải được chia theo chủ ngữ và thì của ngữ cảnh.

Ví dụ:

• I got used to eating fast food when I lived in New York.
  (Tôi đã quen dần với các loại thức ăn nhanh khi tôi sống ở New York)
• She doesn't get used to the noise of that machine.
  (Cô ấy không quen nổi với tiếng ồn của cái máy kia)
