A. Verb + object

- Động từ và tân ngữ thường đi liền với nhau. Ta thường không thêm những từ khác vào giữa 2 từ này.

• I lost all my money and I also lost my passport.
  (not I lost also my passport)
• At the end of this street you’ll see a supermarket on your left.
  (not see on your left a supermarket)

B. Place

- verb và trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn thường đi với nhau

go home /live in a city /walk to work

- Nếu động từ có tân ngữ thì thứ tự sẽ là:

C. Time

- Trạng từ chỉ thời thường đi sau trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn

- Đôi lúc trạng từ chỉ thời gian được đặt ở đầu câu:

- Các trạng từ chỉ tần suất đôi lúc được đặt ở giữa câu. (always/never/usually
